Mélissa Le Nevé just climbed “Action Directe” – making her first 9a and the first female ascent of the historic route. “Action Directe” is a big part of climbing history as the first confirmed 9a sports route in the world.
William Bosi has sent his first 9b at Siurana with the route “La Capella”. The route is 15m of bouldery pockets, crimps and underclings and took him just three days. Will Bosi is a Team GB athlete and native of Edinburgh, Scotland
18 year old Laura Rogora has climbed the 9a “La Bongada” in Margalef. Just the day before she onsighted an 8b+ route, and a few months ago got three Gold Medals in Youth Worlds, plus an invite to the 2020 Olympics!
French climber Seb Bouin has sent “The Dream” 9b in Brar, Albania. Originally bolted around October 2018 by Adam Ondra but never sent. A huge 50 metre line consisting on non-stop tufas with some ‘fun’ looking knee bar rests.
Buster Martin has climbed his first 9a+ “First Ley” in Margalef. The Chris Sharma classic is an incredibly powerful short route. At 23 years old Buster is now the second British climber to EVER climb a 9a+, the first being legendary Steve McClure
